Portsmouth NH Air Show 2025

Portsmouth NH Air Show 2025

Sept 6-7, 2025, Portsmouth, NH

Another air show where weather didn't cooperate on the weekend. It was a shame because it had been 10 years since the Blues had been at Pease. I was able to catch them Wed when they flew in, Thurs for the media rides and then the survey flights and practice on Friday.

Blue Angel #3 seem to have broke at the same place during a routine. It would land and then jump in #6. On Sat the Blues actually moved their demo time up. In all my years of going to air shows I've never seen them or the Thunderbirds do this. Even with moving it up to 1:30 for Bert and 2:00 for the Blues, weather prevailed. A cell popped up just 30 mins away and was dropping rain down hard on the Northern end of the ramp. I heard one of the Blues pilots mentioned they couldn't see the end, so they decided to circle over Great Bay before they just came in to land because the clouds were still to low.

Sunday was the same issue with the clouds, Blues sent up a solo and ceiling was too low. So they decided to depart early to get back to NAS Pensacola.

U.S. Air Force Capt. Melanie “MACH” Kluesner, the F-35A demo pilot really stole the show. She was able to rip up the skies on Friday for practice, and she also went up Sunday after the Blues departed and made multiple fast passes down the runway fully engulfed in vapor. It was my highlight for the days I was down there!
